70

I know you read a lot of material every day so I will keep this letter very simple:
70

Why is this number important?

70 tribesmen promised Josef and G-d they would take his bones out of Egypt.

70 days of mourning were undertaken by the Egyptian priests and all of Egypt for Jacob and Josef.
(40 days by the tribesmen)

Moses asked for a three day feast, but he did not ask for the bones of Josef from Pharaoh and the Egyptian priesthood. Am Israel paid with a three day fast and a two Purims including the death of 6 million children of G-d.

70 years of Adam were given to King David so he could repair the damage done by Adam

70 birth pains

70 members of the Sanhedrin

70 faces of the Torah

70 Billion Dollar BEWS
70 Billion Euro. (follow up on the BEWS)

The eye of G-d (ayn Y(70)) is following this issue every minute. What value does prayer have when we are not keeping our word? “brit mila” our promises do not count,

so he stopped listening and he is watching to see what we will do!

If we use our feet and bring the head back to the seat of glory, the light, the eight light will be lit and every man will be MORE then Adam. The Angels will return to their work and cease questioning G-d.

onkelus is the etz ha chaiim and Moshe Rabenu the etz ha daat ??

Likutey Tefilotes 19.  Emphasizes the need to read the Targum in order to make the distinction of the text.  Why would the work of an illustrious convert be the tree of life and the work of our master, Moshe be only the tree of knowledge?

The Shabbas with it's blessing and it's curse applies only to the slaves of G-d.  Someone who is proud and does Shabbas, is only fooling himself and others, he is not really a student of Rabenu (rather of Amalek).  The convert on the other hand became a slave of his own free will, so his Shabbas IS Shabbas.

Give me revenge for my two eyes from the Philistines

Shimshon was attracted by beauty, he was a nazir.  Ben Porat ale ayen is what we say about the Hamsa and Josef.  Or in Rabbi Nachman terms 242 Shlayn.

The two eyes alluded to here are the two eyes of Rachel.  One is Josef, the other is Rabbi Nachman.

Lea may have been rewarded for her tears in this world, but Rachel in the world to come.

May we all merit to be sons/(daughters-you part of your husbands) of Rachel.

The Brit comes before the Promise

Pakad Pakadeti---

[ I am ordering you, my slaves, and inscribing it in your "lowest place": BRING THE BONES OF JOSEF OUT OF EGYPT and to ISRAEL].

This obligation comes before G-d's promise (Sinai) to us.

G-d is NOT our slave, he made us his slaves and he only made the promise to his slaves.

Our top priority BEFORE keeping Shabbas is to be the slaves of G-d by keeping our brit and bringing Rabbi Nachman to Jerusalem.

Elanit, An Off the Derech Rebel

In one of my old schools I met a very troubled girl named Elanit, who constantly bullied me and wouldn't leave me alone. It wasn't always that way. We were good friends for about a month. During that time, I realized that she wasn't the nicest, was dishonest, manipulative, and wasn't too good of a friend after all. I almost hated her for the longest time, but at the same time I felt bad for her. She was from a Chabad family, and they weren't taking it easy how she suddenly decided she didn't want to be Jewish anymore. I never really understood why she wanted to throw away Yiddishkeit. I could understand how she wanted to be free and independent. But for me, Yiddishkeit is what sets me free. I can't relate to her in that respect, but I would like to think that we are kind of similar in that we have rebelled from what we were born into. I rebelled from a secular life, she rebelled from a frum, kosher life.
As I was thinking about her today, I remembered a tidbit from Pirkei Avos; "Who is rich? He who is satisfied with his lot, as it is said: 'When you eat the toil of your hands you are fortunate and it is good for you,'".  There is so much truth to this. She struggles with the life that she has and is therefore very poor in happiness. I struggled, but I left behind what I struggled with. And today, I can say that I am exceedingly wealthy studying the Torah and living frum. As for her, I hope that wherever she goes, she at least can find happiness.
Let us all find happiness from it's most pure source, the Torah. Amen!
