Proposal 4 Likutei Moharan Learning 4 Nanachs

Yesterday on Monday afternoon, when I was visiting the Geula section of Yerushalayim, I stopped by a place where there were older/used Seforim available each for 5 Shekel only. Lo and behold, there was a Likutei Moharan printed by the Keren with the picture of the Petek on the front cover. Bought it for 5 Shekel, only to discover afterwards that this Likutei Moharan is set up to be learnt in its entirety in 30 days.

Now realistically, few have the time or patience to learn such an amount in one day, for even if one were to merely parrot the words, it would probably take nearly an hour a day for this amount of learning to learn the whole Sefer in one month. And while there have been divisions of Likutei Moharan to be learnt over a year, and there are those who learn an Amud of this a day; looking at this Likutei Moharan that I just bought, I thought of an alternate idea - LEARNING LIKUTEI MOHARAN OVER A PERIOD OF 30 WEEKS. In short, taking each of the 30 divided portions, and dividing this further into seven parts each, this can be learned over a period of 30 weeks/210 days/7 months.

So, taking a look at the calendar, and going strictly with any given one of the 30 divided sections to be learned in a week's time beginning from Yom Rishon (starting on Motzoei Shabbos or Saturday night) through Shabbos, if we can start the official launch of Likutei Moharan for Nanachs beginning on Yom Rishon - 16 Nissan which is the Yom Rishon or 1st day of Sefiras HaOmer, counting 30 weeks, the Siyum of this 1st cycle of Likutei Moharan learning for Nanachs will conclude on this coming 18 Cheshvan, the CHAI "Yahrzeit" (18 years since the Histalkus) of Saba, the Ba'al HaPetek (HaBa'ah Aleinu L'Tova)! Additionally, utilizing the opportunity of making a Siyum on the magnum opus of Rabbeinu which will always conclude on a Shabbos Kodesh, this can be an opportune time for a Shabbaton of Nanachs/the Keren as a meeting for making a Siyum, unity of Nanachs, and discussing ways of furthering Hafatza.

And for those who can learn better in English, an English translation of the entire Likutei Moharan in one volume just recently became published and is currently available (in Israel, I believe it costs 180 Shekel, though its spiritual value is priceless). So, there has never been a better time for Nanachs to begin an official learning schedule of this most basic Sefer of Breslov Chasidus, which will also be of benefit to Nanachs having all learned the same portion on any given day to discuss words of Torah/Chasidus together, helping each other to learn this most important Sefer that Moshiach (who will be a descendant of Rabbeinu) will give a Peirush on, as Rabbeinu noted.

For more details, including the exact division of Likutei Moharan into 210 parts (which by the way is corresponding to the 210 years that B'nei Yisroel were in the Golus of Mitzrayim before Yetzias Mitzrayim, signifying that learning this Sefer will help US out in our spiritual Golus), please feel free to contact me at or 052-713-8402.

B'Ezras Hashem, may the merit of learning Likutei Moharan in unity help bring closer the coming of Moshiach and Techiyas HaMeisim of our greatest Tzadikim, including Rabbeinu and Saba, whom we hope to be present at this upcoming first public Siyum of Likutei Moharan for Nanachs (which we hope will include all Jews who feel a closeness with Rabbeinu and Breslov Chasidus) with the blessings of Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman!

4th day of Nisson, 5772
