Breslov - "In The Beginning"

Welcome everyone to a new cycle of Krias HaTorah. As I mentioned in one of my blogs that I posted especially for the Yom Hillula of Rabbeinu, as per the Hidden Codes of the Torah, the five letter word Breslov in Hebrew can be spelled equidistantly nearly 1,800 times in the Torah - forwards & backwards.

The word Breslov - Beis-Reish-Samech-Lamed-Veis - can be spelled equidistantly 912 times forward. Hence, continuing the count of this word being spelled backwards - Veis-Lamed-Samech-Reish-Beis - the first such instance is the 913th occurence counting from the amount of times that the word is spelled in order (spelling it every 42,865th letter). And the Gematria of the first word of the Torah - Bereishit - is 913.

The lesson we can learn from here - while we are hardly worthy of anything, especially as sinful beings, Hashem so to speak bent BACKWARDS by bringing to us Breslov Chassidus to have a fresh start as though we are at the start of Bereishis - IN THE BEGINNING, as a child born anew as a result of doing Teshuva. And doing Teshuva M'Ahava, out of love for Hashem, is the highest form of Teshuva, which assures us that not only it is as though we never did the Aveira, but if anything, it turns into a merit for us. And it is particular Breslov Chasidus that helps us achieve that ultimate level, regardless of our past criminal record in Hashem's book.

After all, what is the big wonder about the word Breslov being hinted in such a fashion. The word Chumash is the same Gematria as Na Nach Nachma Nachman=354, and the amount of Pesukim in the Chumash - 5,845 - can be hinted in the letters of Rabbeinu's name: Noon=50, Cheis=8, Mem=40, Noon=50. Remove the zeros, and putting the remaining numbers together to spell the number of the Pesukim in the Torah - 5845.

And one more thing about the word Bereishis. As we know, there are very strong connections between Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai), author of the teachings of the Zohar, and Rabbeinu.
And the holiest part of the Zohar - Tikkunei HaZohar - which includes 70 Tikkunim, focuses on this first word of the Torah. And it is Rabbeinu's Sefer - Likutei Moharan, Section One, Torah 70 - that mentions Rosh Chodesh Nissan, the birthday of Rabbeinu. And it is this Rosh Chodesh, the beginning of the first month of the 12 months, that symbolizes a new renewal, the same way that the first word of the Torah - Bereishis - spells when rearranged Alef (the letter) B'Tishrei, 1st of Tishrei, which is Rosh Hashanah, about which Rabbeinu said that this is his whole essence.

The 491th Parsha of the Torah

While we will be concluding the Torah with the 54th and last Parsha of the Torah on Simchas Torah, it should be noted that based on the spacings in the Torah between one section and another, there are a total of 669 such spacings, thus, each such section being called a Parsha.

So, in honor of the 200th Yahrzeit of Rabbeinu, I have a special treat to reveal. You see, as the name of Pesach is the Gematria of Rabbeinu's name Nachman - 148, and HaMatzos in the phrase Chag HaMatzos, another name for Pesach, is the Gematria of Yisroel - 541, the name of the Ba'al Shem Tov and Saba, the latter who said of himself, "I am Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman" (NOTE: I am not going to discuss here what he meant by this, I am simply making a corelationship of ideas); so pertaining to the holiday of the opposite side of the year Succos, the word HaSuccos as in the phrase Chag HaSuccos is the Gematria of Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman - 491, the connection between Rabbeinu & Saba.

And this leads to what I am getting to now. Noting the Krias HaTorah for Succos in Parshas Pinchos of the daily Korbanos for each day, as the reading for each day is separated by spacing making each one a separate Parsha, the reading in Eretz Yisroel for the 4th day of Succos (unlike in Chutz La'aretz who read in addition to this, from the following two sections out of Sfeika D'Yoma) - the Yahrzeit of Rabbeinu is - lo and behold - the 491th Parsha of the Torah, corresponding to the Gematria of Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman = 491!

Before Finishing the Torah This Week...

Wanted to write this post a month ago in time for the Ba'al Shem Tov's birthday of Chai Elul (312 years ago), but I was pressed for time and then being that everyone (or almost everyone besides me) was off to Uman, I felt it would be better to post the following at this time when more eyes will be viewing this.

This year, Shabbos Parshas Ki Savo was Chai Elul, the birthday of the Ba'al Shem Tov, who is the great grandfather of Rabbeinu Nachman. The first Aliyah of this Parsha that was read on the Shabbos birthday of the Ba'al Shem Tov are the 5561th-5571th Pesukim of the Torah. And as we know, the last 11 years of Rabbeinu's life was during the years 5561-5571, when he revealed most of his teachings. The last Posuk of this Aliyah, the 5571th Posuk of the Torah, corresponding to the year 5571 when Rabbeinu passed away 200 years ago, begins with the words "You shall rejoice in all the good..."

The last Posuk of this Parshas Ki Savo read on the birthday of the Ba'al Shem Tov whose name is Yisroel, is the 5682th Posuk of the Torah. And it was in the year 5682 that another rabbi with the name Yisroel, Rabbi Yisroel Dov Ber Odesser, discovered the Petek which would one day revolutionize the world...

And to note, Parshas Ki Savo is the 50th Parsha of the Torah, as the letter Noon=50, begins and ends both Rabbeinu's and Rebbe Nosson's names; and of course, beginning and ending the Shir Chadash - Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman that originated from the Petek.

Which ROSH 2 Follow

Noting the 200th Yahrzeit of Rabbeinu, being that the letter Reish=200 is etymologoically related to the word Rosh, as in ROSH Bnei Yisroel, can also refer to evil, as the first letters of ROSH Bnei Yisroel, spelling the word Rebbe, can also refer to evil (see Likutei Moharan 1:111).

On the evil side, Rosh can refer to Avodah Zarah (incidentally, the name of the Masechta of the current Daf Yomi), as in the story of the Meraglim where some Jews said "Let us appoint a Rosh/head, and return to Egypt." The word Rosh is also the Gematria of Obama's full name spelled in Hebrew - 501.

On the good side, Rosh is a contraction of two words - the letter Reish as related to Rosh and Eish/fire - Alef & Shin. Eish is the Gematria of Menorah - 301, on which the fire is lit. The spiritual fire is the letters of the word Menorah when rearranged to spell the title of Rabbeinu - MOHARAN. Indeed the ROSH Bnei Yisroel is the Moharan - Moreinu HaRav Rabbeinu Nachman. As Rabbeinu said of himself, "My fire will continously burn until the coming of Moshiach".

May the fire of ROSH Bnei Yisroel - Rabbeinu, overpower the ROSH Olam HaSheker - Obama,
who ascended the throne of presidency through the power of Sheker - lying and hiding about his past, which would otherwise reveal that he is unfit to be president of the United States according to the Constitution, being that he was not born in this country, but in Kenya; and as shown in the Hidden Codes of the Torah, he is indeed Gog (U'Magog), about whom we read about yesterday in the Haftora for Shabbos Chol HaMoed Succos.

May the Zechus of following Rabbeinu save us from the worst of Milchemes Gog U'Magog.

מאתים=נ נח נחמ נחמן מאומן

Speaking of the 200th Yahrzeit of Rabbeinu, the word for the number 200 is Mohsayim. In turn, this word is the Gematria of Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman = 491. Moreover, the first letter Noon spelling Rabbeinu's name being spelled in the beginning of each word of the Shir Chadash - Poshut, Koful, Meshulosh, Meruba - adds to the total of 200 = 50*4.

It All Goes Back to Rosh Hashanah

Speaking of the 200th Yahrzeit of Rabbeinu, as the letter Reish=200, the first letter of the word Rabbeinu, as well as the letter of the highest Gematria value in the word, the letter Reish is the 20th letter of the Alef Beis. Accordingly, the word for 20 is Esrim, the word itself being the Gematria of 620. The word Keser, the highest of the Sephiros, is also the Gematria of 620.

Rabbi Moshe Cordovero (whose Yahrzeit of 23 Tamuz is the same date on which Saba discovered the Petek) states that the Aseres Yemei Teshuva correspond to the 10 Sephiros from the highest to the lowest - Keser, Chochma, Bina, Chesed, Gevura, Tiferes, Netzach, Hod, Yesod, Malchus. Thus, Keser corresponds to the 1st day of the Aseres Yemei Teshuva - (the first day of) Rosh Hashanah, about which Rabbeinu said that this is his whole essence. Moreover, the very beginning of the Mishna tractate Rosh Hashanah mentions the date of Rabbeinu's birth - Rosh Chodesh Nissan.

Breslov Simchas Torah Starting Today

In terms of the Hidden Codes of the Torah, the five Hebrew letter word Breslov can be spelled equidistantly nearly 1,800 times -forwards & backwards. The very last time in the Torah that Breslov is spelled (in this case, it is spelled backwards) starting in the midst of Parshas Ha'azinu until near the end of the Torah - where every 712th letter spells the next letter.

In fact, both in this Sefer Devorim where this occurs as well as in Sefer Bamidbar, the word Breslov is spelled backwards every 712th letter beginning from Chapter 32 and ending in Chapter 34. This is bearing in mind that the number 32, spelling the number/word Lev, the last two letters in Breslov, which spell the equidistant word particularly in Chapter 32 in both Sefer Bamidbar & Sefer Devorim. Coincidence?

And what is significant about the number 712? You see, it is the Gematria of the words Rebbi Nosson, the Talmid & Chosid Muvhak of Rabbeinu Nachman, responsible for Rabbeinu's teachings being spread to the world, as he was the one who wrote them.

In his own right, he composed Likutei Halachos, the Chasidic commentary on the entire Shulchan Aruch, about which there was a Chasidic Rebbe who said that all the Chasidic Seforim are included in this work. Indeed, the name of this work Likutei Halachos is the Gematria of the word HaTorah - THE Torah = 616.

And in this midst of the matrix of where Breslov is spelled every 712th letter, in Parshas V'Zos HaBeracha that we read on Simchas Torah, is the famous Posuk beginning with Torah Tziva, the VERY FIRST POSUK that a Jewish child learns, even before Shma Yisroel. And what is the Gematria of Torah Ziva? The same number that we just mentioned spelling the name Breslov in this area of the Torah, and the Gematria of Rabbi Nosson - 712. Coincidence?

Torah Tziva Lanu Moshe - "Moshe commanded us the Torah", part of the first Aliyah of Parshas V'Zos HaBeracha that many learn today on the first day of the week, which is also the Ushpizin of Moshe Rabbeinu and... the 200th Yahrzeit of Rabbeinu.

And one more thing, the letter Reish - the Gematria of 200 - is the letter of the HIGHEST Gematria value in both the words Breslov & Rebbe/Rabbeinu.

Finding your soulmate

Rabbi Nachman writes in Sefer Hamidos - Book of Attributes - (available on the nanach.net info site), that someone who has a hard time finding his soulmate should acustom himself to reading the Tora portion of the offerrings of the Nisseim (ministers/leaders - found in the end of the portion of Nusso).

Perhaps the reason for this is because the Nisseim brought their offerring to rectify and make up for not contributing to the Mishkan (tabernacle. Because they planned on donating what ever was deficient, but the nation donated much more than was necessary, thus leaving the Nesseim with nothing to contribute). The establishment of the Temple is considered like the consumation of a marriage (see the end of the third chapter of the Song of Songs). Thus the Nesseims non contribution to the Mishkan is like an impediment in the process of getting married, the rectification was by their offerring. Thus anyone who is having problems finding his soulmate should frequently read the rectification of the Nesseim.

Big Souls

B"H the other day in the Nanach store in Tsfas, Kikar Hamaginim, SNS Nanach and myself were discussing how we can spread Nanach, SNS was saying how Rabbainu told us to reach out to the big souls. A little later a "big soul" walked right in to the store. A jew from Texas who had been running a multi-million dollar water plant, had found a web camera on the Western Wall, so he would pray facing it, once while praying his whole body started shaking.... I don't remember the whole story well enough, but the bottom line is that he gave his wife the company and child support and came to Israel. Right now he's studying the Baal Shem Tov, and soon B"H he'll be Nanach.

Great blessings of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman!

The New Years by Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman is a strong indication for a most amazing year ahead of us!

B"H this year Uman Rosh Hashana by Rabbainu Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman was the strongest ever. The most conservative estimate I heard was 30,000 - (last years conservative estimate was 24,000) and the Nanach stands were very very busy, selling out a few of the holy books of Rabbainu.

This year the Keren has published a simple and practical English translation to the first volume of Rabbi Nachman's Likutay Moharan, they are selling it for 100 Shekel.

They have also published a bunch of other new books, like commentaries on Likutay Moharan, Song of Songs with Likutay Halachos, and Kisvay Rabbainu Nachman (this is a book inspired by Saba, it provides a condensed portion of Likutay Moharan with it's counterpart prayer from LIkutay Tefilos).

The Keren, which had previously been on the blink, and was continued by "HuAIsh Sheli", has now been put back into action, exclusively for the publication of the Holy Books of Rabbainu.

Since Saba passed away a supposed 20,000,000 sforim of Rabbainu have been published by the Keren! This is just the smallest of beginnings for what is coming B"H.

EBAY- when will it be THE book?

Saba says thousands of chosen/ fervent people already cherish the book.. OK, is that enougth?

If the Shazar Center still doesn't print the book- the Saba's saying:

"Ebay Ha Nachal will be famous when the Moshiah comes" isn't applicable yet.

Why the Shazar Center?- Well in the same way as the Keren was created to print this most important book, so was the Shazar Center....but the time hasn't come yet! The reason for the dissinterest? The holy seperation between "church and state"- Yet this book shows how to integrate the two! Moshiah is not only religious he is also multi-national/cultural/judicial/ political- EBAY HA NACHAL has it all!

If you believe that Moshe had a greater span of teaching then Josef-- then understand that the same comparison applies for Saba with regards to Rabbi Nachman.

So what is the story of the printing and reprinting of this book authored by Saba Israel and given to the Beit Ha Nassi in honor of his beloved friend President Zalman Shazar. The "petek" appeared at first on the cover chosen by Saba... then the petek became transparent on a blue cover, then it went to the back cover then it was placed on the grave, then the grave appeared without the petek, then no grave and no petek! Just as the petek is less and less important on this book, it becomes less and less important compared to all the "new" litterature and material about Saba.

I strongly reject this trend. Ebay Ha Nachal is the treasure revealed by the Petek.

Gmar Chasima Tova

שלום וברכה– Moshe Asher writing. I'm trying to find a likutei halachos where r' nossan talks about the free masons being the biggest r'shaim. I think he refers to them as פ''ם anybody have a clue where it is? Yossi Na Nach showed it to me originally. Don't know if he posts here, but if someone bumps into him, you could ask him, it's worth seeing it inside, anyway.

a sweet and beautiful year to everyone.

Uman

G-d will judge us as children or as slaves...

If as children thank you and if as slaves we will not complain. Ruth was warned by Naomi...if you convert you may become guilty and go to hell, do you accept? Yes she answers where you go so will I (if you are mistaken then I will be also because I will follow you as a Hassida).

What is a slave? A slave is a slave of his LUSTS and AMBITIONS (Hauty). Usually this type of person becomes a human predator. He helps G-d by serving the Devil as a hammer to discipline and train the righteous. Eventually all his plans turn over on his/her head and all the stolen goods/time etc.. go back to the owners in exponential powers. If he/she is lucky they are punished in this world. regarding them this is considered MERCY happy is the lot of the Rashaim that get punished here and now! A notable example of the opposite is Korach who attacked the Tzaddik and went to hell unpunished. Even Moshe can be merciless with the VERY vile! Korach is not complaining, but acting like a true son- in the wrong place.

The time to praise the King is now, not in Hell. The Tzaddik hasen't asked anybody to be a slave, but maybe for every tzaddik there is a rasha. Do everything in your power not to be given this role.

Leshana Tova!!

What tribe and what person is devarim 29, 20 referring to?

Clearly the judgement hasn't occured because no new land has been turned into a sea of salt. So it is yet to occure. Have we stopped worshipping GOLD? not completely! Certainly not all of us. Is there a tribe which is 99% idol-worshipping?

Since we know of only two tribes, ten are "lost" SIMPLE MATH there are 9 tribes out there waiting to be found and one which will not be salvaged.

This corresponds to the tale of the Baal Tefila.

If so it starts with the word getting out that there is a all powerful warrior that 50 (na) miles away from a nation, requests subjugation otherwise he pulls out the all famous three way sword. But even this sword is not as fearsom as the promise from Devarim. Rabbi Nachman might have altered something here, but weeding out idol-worship is still the task and the objective.

Rabbi Nachman traces the path and yes the prophesy of Moses can be altered for the good- but only if all the tribes abandon idol worship and join the Baal Tfila--- only then will we be able to save the 10th tribe!

Galbanum is part of the Keter and it is the sign that all of us have truly pleased our father.

a very inspiring post from a couple years ago by saba-noon that I thought was worth reposting

Na Nach and Christianity

Often Na Nach has been accused of being a cult. It's not true. A cult is a group with a leader brainwashing it's members to their disadvantage. Na Nach is not a cult simply because it has no living leader. If one were to investigate the leader they would have to go to Uman and talk to Rebbe Nachman in his tomb (We do recommend this). Also Na Nach does not have any other characteristics of cults like secrecy and abuse of members , etc. In fact there is no central Na Nach location nor is there any central brain behind the organization except Rebbe Nachman.
The second big accusation of those opposing Na Nach is that they take drugs, which is not true. In fact officially Na Nach is opposed to the use of drugs And as a Na Nach I can tell you that it is not part of any Na Nach activity, formal or informal.
The third, and final accusation is that Na Nach is like Christianity. This is what I will write about here. What are the similarities and differences between these two religions? Similarities; (1)Simple, unquestioning faith and belief that there is a true tzadik and (2) attachment to the true Tzadik. Differences; everything else (the list is too long to mention for this article)Even in the similarities there are great differences. Rebbe Nachman teaches that we should have unquestioning faith which in turn leads to knowledge, whereas the Christians teach to have faith which leads to ignorance. The belief20in the Tzadik is different too because Rebbe Nachman is actually the tzadik yesod olam whereas Yachker (the "J" guy) was not. (this too is an issue of faith)

A Parable

Before you continue reading this article I ask that you realize that just because a goy or a heretic does or believes something it does not mean automatically that it is not Jewish to do such a thing. One has to distinguish between light and darkness between the Righteous and the wicked and the difference, even though very very great is not so easy to see as one might expect at first. The wicked practice many things that appear to be the same as the righteous yet it is only a case of a monkey imitating a man. Sometimes it is a pretty good imitation and then one seeking the truth will see a monkey (an evil person) do something imitating a man (a righteous person) and then see a man do the same thing and say "hey, monkeys do that" The truth is that the man did it first and in fact it is a human thing to do. So it is in this case.

Simple Unquestioning Faith

Rebbe Nachman and Breslov in general (I mean early Breslov in particular) teaches simple faith without any sophistication at all (even Torah sophistication). Even though a person might be a great genius in the Torah, still they should serve G-d with the ultimate childlike simplicity. This is emphesized a great deal in Rebbe Nachman's teachings. Serve G-d without any sophistication whatsoever. Sing and dance and recite tehillim20like a child before his father. Just because Christians teach this too it does not make it any less Jewish to do so. In fact this is true Judaism. All the righteous saints in Judaism practiced with simplicity and attained their great heights through speaking to G-d simply and wholeheartedly and through making music before G-d and practices like this. The way to become great in Judaism is to be simple. No one is "smart" before our heavenly Father. The sad thing is that this simplicity has been lost. The happy thing is that Rebbe Nachman teaches us how to get it back. We are in a very thick exile now, of body, mind and soul and the way to get free is through simple faith in the sages and through simple practices. When we were freed from the Egyptian exile it says the G-d heard Israel's cry, it does not say that He heard their prayer. Do not underestimate the cry of the Jew to our Father in Heaven (even a small silent cry from the heart, without a voice); it is very much more powerful then the most sophisticated prayer. In fact one of the main purposes of the prayers that the sages composed was to open our hearts to cry to G-d. Rebbe Nachman teaches at length about the extreme importance of simple faith. He is Unique in this.

Attachment (closeness)to the Tzadik

This is another unique teaching of Rebbe Nachman. He is very explicit about the supreme importance of this and all of his books are filled with this concept. The teachings of Reb Nasson (his main studen t) are abundant on this topic. Almost every single Torah is filled with this idea. Rabbi Shmuel Horrowitz sums it up really well in his pamphlet entitled "Attachment to the true Tzadik" where he calls it the foundation of all Judaism, the main goal of Judaism, healing, forgiveness of sins and many other wonderful things. All the mitzvot depend on this and it is more important then all the mitzvot. (He adds that if we merit to do any mitzvot, it is a great good) But if one works on his attachment to the Tzadik, to love him and to be called by is name, then one will as of course do all the mitzvot with great joy. Still the mitzvah of attachment to the Tzadik even excuses a person of the mitzvot. For example Avraham Avinu was excused of the mitzvah of hosting guests because he made a Brit Mila at that time. And so we are pardoned all the other mitzvot for the sake of drawing close to the true Tzadik (the tzadik is called the "Holy Brit"). Of course, the main way to draw close to the tzadik is through performing the Mitzvot (another major difference). This is a paradox and Reb Nosson explains that we will not fully understand this paradox until the Final Redemption. The fact remains is that the main and most essential mitzvah that by far is the single most important mitzvah that outweighs all the other mitzvot together is "Attachment to the true tzadik". And through this we will receive all of our salvation, collective and personal. Remember that the sin of the golden calf was r eally just an argument against Our Teacher Moshe. The People fully believed in G-d, but their sin was that they thought that they can reach G-d in their own way, without the Tzadik. Rabbi Nachman says that it is impossible to attach to G-d without the Tzadik when there is a tzadik to be found in the world. And thank G-d Rebbe Nachman is to be found in the world. Drawing oneself too close to a leader is only dangerous if it is a false leader, sticking close to a true leader can only be of benefit.

The Importance of Chanting Na Nach

Now it can be understood why it is so important to chant "Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman" because by doing this one becomes attached to the Tzadik. Just saying his name with love already attaches one but saying it in the form of single double triple and quadruple makes a much much stronger attachment (in the same way as going back over a stitch while sowing creates a stronger bond) and attachment to the tzadik is the main mitzvah.

Conclusion

If all of this doesn't sound Jewish to you. Maybe you should reexamine your idea of Jewish. If you think that this is not Breslov and that Rebbe Nachman would never say such things then maybe you should pick up some books of Breslov and read them for yourself, almost every torah he talks about these things in great detail.

Rabbenu revealed the year, month and day of the Moshiah

so... what is left to do?

What are we working for if everything is predestiny and Rabbenu already won this war?

Na Nach needs to be spread like honey to avoid people from going crazy at the bitterness of the SHEKER which blinds us today.

Nun is Malchos (kingship)
and Nun Chet is Malchos and "channukka miracles"

sure there is the malchus ha resha--- but no worry, miracles will ALWAYSE win the day.

NA NACH

Let's Awaken and reveal the Holiness of Eretz Yisroel with "Hafrashas Challa" (see illustration)
