The Other Side of the Year

"First there was Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi)- Ir V'Kadish Min Shemaya V'Nachis, and now there is Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman". (Rabbi Yisroel Dov Ber Odesser, ZTVK"L)

Just like exactly half a year apart, there is Pesach & Succos; so too we have Lag B'Omer, which falls out on the 18th of Iyar, the Yahrzeit of (Rashbi), and the other side of the year is the 18th of Cheshvan, the Yahrzeit of Rebbe Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman, based on Saba's words who said that he himself is Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman (which means, in his words, that he is the mouth and spirit of Rabbeinu Nachman).

As far as the connection between Pesach & Succos is concerned:

1) The Gemara learns out that just like we have a Chiyuv to eat Matza on the night of the 15th of Nissan, so too, we have a Chiyuv to eat a Kezayis/K'Beitza amount of bread in the Succah on the night of the 15th of Tishrei.

2) The Succah is reminiscent of the Clouds of Glory that Hashem protected us with started with Yetzias Mitzrayim on Pesach.

3) The first place that the Jews came to from their leave from Mitzrayim on Pesach was a place called Succos.

4) Pesach is the Gematria of Rabbeinu's name, and Rabbeinu was Niftar on the middle day of Succos.
