Other Peteks

  1. Gemara Yoma 69: "A Letter fell to them from Heaven, and it was written in it: Truth."
  2. Gemara Baba Metzia 86: At the death of Rabba bar Nachmani a Petek fell from Heaven to explain to them how to bury him and how to mourn for him. Two more Letters fell from Heaven for the same reason.
  3. Mishna Berura 51:1: The prayer "Baruch She'amar" in the morning prayers was established because of a Petek that fell from Heaven, upon which were written the words of the prayer.

Investigation of the Petek

Investigation of the Petek

  • Rabbi Motty of Slonim, head of the Slonimer Chassidic Movement, was known as a serious and non-frivolous person. Everyone in Tiberias feared him, and he was known for never laughing. He began to shake with great and long laughter when Yisroel Ber explained to him that he had received a Petek from Rebbe Nachman. Rabbi Motty loved Yisroel Ber deeply and would learn with him. He summoned all of his Chassidim and examined them, until no one was left in all of Tiberias who would admit to having written the Petek. His Chassidim depended upon him for many things, and no one would have dared to conceal the truth from him. Yet he found no one who admitted responsibility. For this reason he summoned the entire Slonim community of Tiberias and said that, because of the miracle of the Petek, he was dropping his opposition to Breslov Chassidus.
  • Closer to our own time, in the early 1980s, Chana Koren, a famous Israel graphologist at the University of Haifa, examined the Petek for one month. She concluded that at least one of the words was in the original handwriting of Rebbe Nachman himself. There are samples of Rebbe Nachman's handwriting that correspond to the style of writing in that word of the Petek. (The other words of the Petek are written in a script that is not normally used in handwriting, and she had no examples of similar script in the original handwriting of Rebbe Nachman with which to compare.) She also confirmed that the writing of the Petek suggested that the author suffered from tuberculosis, and it is known that Rebbe Nachman suffered from this illness.

Nanach Celebrations

B”H last night YB, Ebay, and myself went to a bunch of Givald Happy Joyous Occasions of the Celebration of the holy mitzvos. 1st a bar mitzva at Kikar Shabos, then to a siyum by Rohey in Kiryat Yovel on Tractate Migeela, and then to the wedding of Jenny and Josh (Blain and Pittleman) in Bayit Vigan. We ascended in holyness since the siyum was by a Nanach and there was much rejoicing and dancing Nanach, and the wedding was especially Givald (the band was Yirmiyahu, even though his disc is slow melodies they played very lively music and the guests were all dancing in the Nanach fashion) it was quite clear why they merited to have Nanach hafatza at their wedding.

YY Nanach!

B"H today I was zoche to spend some more time with YY Nanach, and catch up on all his adventures since I last saw him (half a day ago) - he was sleeping in the Ramban Shul and they called the police and they were convinced he was on drugs and they stepped on his ingrown toenail and searched him repeatedly as he song Nanach to them....
We went to Shimon Hatzadik and spread the holy message of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman MiUman!

New Music

B"H Mendy from Manchester who's studying in Oraisa of the Old City of Jerusalem has joined me to make a few songs, you can find a folder with his name in our music site, in my file.

While YY Nanach and myself were dancing Nanach in the tunnel by the Western Wall, just around the corner at the WW itself our friend Mordichai the manager of the Nanach cave was collecting tzedaka and an undercover policeman asked him to come with him, Mordichai asked him who he was and he replied, come with me to the station and you'll see. So Mordichai ran away from him, the Kosel was packed with people (Thursday morning bar mitzvas) and everyone was supporting him as he ran wildly around throwing shtenders and chairs in the way of the klipa chasing him. Mordichai Eash Hakosel was yelling (in Hebrew) "Leave Him Alone!" a bunch of more police came and after about 15 minutes (so I'm told) they finally caught him. Because they were completely in the wrong they were afraid to take him to the Kishle, so in their nearby building they asked him to sign the charges, and knowing his rights he refused, they tried to scare him and all their tactics of attrition but Mordichai would not bow... so they wanted to photograph him, knowing his rights he refused, they tried anyway, so M. put his jacket over his head and sat that way for a half hour during which they sent all types of officers, to no avail, finally they gave up and let him go.
One of the many morals of this story, and of course the main one is that it's very very very beneficial to sing and dance Na Nach Nachmu Nachman MiUman!

The Prisoner

King David is saying in the Psalms (Tehilim - Shir Hamaalos) our souls are trapped like a bird in a trap... this world is full of delusions and desires that prevent a person from living the reality. Rabbainu quotes the Baal Shem Tov that the desires of the world are like a small coin held close to the eye completely blocking all sight even though the coin is very small.

There is a new TV mini series The Prisoner that is trying to bring out this point, how people are living in complete dillusion. There is a cult leader (satan) who sets them "free" of all their responsabilities and humanity to live a life based on their imagination of their self conscious. The main character is called "six" which is yesod, which goes into the exile to do all the tikunim.

Most people watching the series are probably sinking deeper into the delusion as they are watching it. B"H we have Na Nach Nachmu Nachman MiUman to break us free to reality.

YY Nanach

B"H today I was zoche to spend the day with YY Nanach.

Amongst some of his many adventures he told me that recently he his in the Maaros Hamachpaila to remain inside after they locked up. He then did major tikunim opening up the Aron Hakodesh taking out the Holy Scrolls of the Tora he did hakafos (kabalistic circling) and dancing. Somewhere around 2 in the morning in the middle of screaming to H"Y with all his might, three soldiers came to extract him.

Na Nach

Rabbi Nachman reveals Saba and NaNach i detail

I haven't even finished reading LM one time, (soon I will) it took 17 years.. But going over the end of LMohran Tanyana 66 and the beginning of 67, it was unavoidable. It's ALL THERE! The full explanation on the song and of Saba .. and I am not finished, but you are probably faster then me so take a look please.

Rabbi Nachman saw all of creation in the wink of an eye, so why not put a little light into today's darkness to give humankind a chance!

You will learn if you study these Torah's that someone who messes with a NaNach is offending G-d as if he was messing with the creator himself!

The Tam and the Wise Guy

After the Tam was appointed as Minister of all the Ministers and the Wise Guy came to him for justice, the Tam recognized the Wise Guy but the Wise Guy didn't recognize his friend the Tam because of his grandeur. The Wise Guy was in a pitiful state, he was penniless and the Tam had to give him clothes but the Tam still recognized him, because he never valued the grandeur of the Wise Guy and saw him for what he was...

The Power Of Rabbainu

The Arizal was careful not to even speak words of mussar (ethics...) in a synagogue, for fear that it would lead to regular conversation. Rabbainu rose above all the Tzadikim and thus the Nanach converse with people even in holy places knowing that even one word of Rabbainu can save peoples lives.

This past Friday I was speaking to some yeshiva boys at the Kosel after about 10 - 15 minutes we started speaking about the Arizal and one of the boys, all of the sudden, said that he couldn't speak at the Kosel, and he wanted me to leave the kosel to continue speaking to him. So I explained to him that it was the merit of the Arizal that he was suddenly sensitive to speaking at the Kosel, and now he should aspire to the ultimate holiness of the ways of Rabbainu.

Yosef Became King on Rosh Hashana in the Merit of Yitzchok

Many might know that Yosef was released from jail and ordained as the King of Egypt on Rosh Hashana. If you do the math, based on Rashi at the end of Parshas Toldos it comes out that that was the year that our Father Yitzchok died (wouldn't mind if someone double checks this). Yitzchok is the main theme of Rosh Hashana, so it is no surprise that upon his arrival in Olam Haba on Rosh Hashana he saw to the release and agrandizement of Yosef Hatzadik.

Some Nanach Torah

Somehow some litvish guy ended up at the Shabbos night meal and was giving some depressing torah. Here is some Nanach Torah on the same pesukim.

After dancing and jumping up and down Nanach, then you realize there is no point in existing other then following the Tzadik, then you go to serve Hashem.

<>הקול קול יעקב והידיים ידי עשו

After screaming Nanach then you have the ability to raise your hands and dance in holiness without being a vessel of Esav and the Klipah.

How to get great insight into torah

Do what Saba says- jump into the mud to serve G-d . Mabe it's better to be with thieves and serving, then with princes and sleeping.

This is the path if you want THE KING to allow you into the chambers where even princes are not allowed! But of course, you should do it because you love the KING and not for any reward what-so-ever.

Rebbe Yitzchok of Tulshin

Everyone knows that Rebbe Yitzchok son of Rebbe Noson is buried right next to the Kever of Rebbe Yosef Karo, the Bais Yosef. (See image above, tall kever is Rebbe Yitzchok and one by the white wall is the Bais Yosef). However not many know the story behind this...

This Shabbos I heard from Lazer Nanach who heard from an old Breslover once while he was praying at the grave of Rebbe Yitzchock the following: Breslov was not a well liked group back in the days and when Rebbe Yitzchok passesd away the Chevrah Kadish planed to dump him in some far unnoticeable corner of the Tzfat cemetery. It came out that they had to bury him at night and in the pitch dark they mistakenly buried him in one of the best available plots of the Bais Hakvaros, right next to the Bais Yosef. When they came back the next day, they were very surprised to find out that they had mistakenly given him this prime location. They then realized that this was in merit of his father Rebbe Nasson, who reveled the great spiritual meaning of the teachings of the Bais Yosef, he therefore merited that that his son be buried right next to him.

No Despir Exsists

Everyone knows that Rabbanue said "No despair exists in the world - אין שום יאוש בעולם כלל"

The simple interpretation of this is that Rebbe Nachman is simply encouraging us to be strong and not give up.

This Shabbos I heard something different from our friend Dovid Strangeways. Rabbanue had the power to see from the creation of the world until its end and everything that accrued in between. He saw that there was no despair at all and he was stating a fact "Despair does not exists". If a person remains strong and sticks it out, in the end he will always get his redemption. This Rebbe Nachman saw that it did happened and always would happen.

Not in Rashi! + (a real suprise)

Don't eat with liars!

How could Israac consider Phiscol and Avimelech to be "brothers" and eat bread with them? They lied to him saying they were only good to him.(Baloomy) I guess he was used to Esav.

As a result they DID NOT find water in the well and he became POOR (and according to me BLIND- the fourth interpretation of why he became blind). As an example to proove this point: Blindness occured in Jacob after his sons LIED to him. Why did Josef eat with them? Because they had spoken the truth FINALLY?

So Rivka asked Jacob to trick his father- she was the sister of Laban, who coined the term "arami" (ramai- almost Romi- "con-man") so Rivka couldn't be fooled as easily as her husband. The tikkun needed to go through Israac being tricked be-keddusha!

With Hannukka just around the corner- lets try to eat with honest people and avoid those who LIE with their words and therefore should not even try to do TIKKUN HA BRIS which is a much more delicate level of truth.

The Maccabis, did defeat the Greeks but generations later, ended up siding with the Romans which is why they are hardly mentionned in the Gemarra. No matter what, the Jewish nation knows that there is a G-d and will not allow themselves to drown in heresies.

How important is it to be happy?

The Megilla makes it clear: Better to be stoned then to be sad!

Being stoned is really bad, but being sad is alot worse!

Where to Pour Out Your Heart

A few days ago I was speaking to a yeshiva boy and I was telling him how Rabbainu taught that everything one is learning, he should be praying for their actualization. This is very hard, dry, and restricting to the study of the Talmud, and therefor one should be princibly studying the holy teachings of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman MiUman. Even still if one is stuck learning the Talmud he should do his best to pray for what he's studying.
The boy told me that he was learning about the receiving of the blood of a sacrifice, which has to be done in a certain place, the boy explained that this rule has two aspects, one, the requirement to receive the blood in the proper place (positive), and the other, not to spill the blood in the wrong place (negative).
The spilling and receiving of the blood is like the pouring out of the soul (as it says in the Tora, the blood is the soul), thus upon learning such rules, one should pray to be able to pour out his soul to the Holy Blessed One God and to have self sacrifice for Him. Rabbainu teaches that there are special place where one should be extra ardent in concentration and exertion in prayer - in those places where was in confronted with distracting thoughts. Rabbainu also taught that one should be very careful not to express desires for unholy things. Thus we have a very simple and straightforward way to translate and actualize such learning into prayer.

Go to Uman

Kitzur Likutei Moharan 2 #23

When someone is happy, then the melancholy and afflictions are lifted aside. But a higher level than this is — to boldly pursue the melancholy specifically and reverse it to joy. Like one who goes into a celebration — then due to the greatness of the celebration and joy he reverses all his worries and sadness and melancholy to happiness. And an understanding mind can easily find in each pain and affliction and worry some expanse through which he can turn all the melancholy to happiness — and this is the root of perfecting happiness!

A Room With Everything

Saba greatly valued the Sidur - prayer book - with every thing in it, all types of prayers etc.. Today we experienced a Room With Everything, in our modest Nanach store in the Jewish Quarter we had EA and myself jamming with an electric guitar, Yaron in a different corner in a heated discussion with a bochur from Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok, about 15 zilberman kids in mayhem - blowing whistles and who knows what, and Mayon bobbing around. Ebay was also there taking it all in. B"H!!!

The 238th DAY in the 238th YEAR

The number 238 is nothing new on You see, as I have mentioned before, we are now in the 238th year from Rabbeinu's birth on Rosh Chodesh Nissan 5532. And Rosh Chodesh Kislev - 1 Kislev - is the 238th day from Rosh Chodesh Nissan. But what makes this especially significant is that the Hebrew letters for 238 are the very same letters of the name Rachel. And Rachel Imeinu's name is hinted in the very beginning of the special text of the Mussaf Shemoneh Esrei for Rosh Chodesh - Roshei Chodashim L'Amcha, and a few words later, is the phrase of Kapara Lechol Toldosohm, which I wrote about in my next blog as you scroll down. The whole phrase as translated in English is "You have given the monthly festival of Rosh Chodesh to your nation. It is a time of atonement for all of Israel's generations." To accentuate my point here, it isn't that this is simply that this date of 1 Kislev is the 238th day of the 238th year of Rabbeinu's birthday. But ALSO, this 238th day falls out on Rosh Chodesh, as is the birthday of Rabbeinu. And ALSO, Rachel's name who has the same letters as the number 238 are the beginning letters of the phrase that spells Rosh Chodesh, adding to the fact that this is the first Rosh Chodesh that follows Rachel Imeinu's Yahrzeit. So for those living in Eretz Yisrael,
score a perfect 238, and do some Hisbodedus at Kever Rachel, starting off this month on the right foot.

And speaking of "right", I want to mention someone's name which also has the connotation of the word "right", but more in the sense of right as opposed to left. You see, Binyamin's name literally means "son of right", which refers to Eretz Yisrael, as he was the only one of the 12 Shevatim who was born in this holy land. But why I mention his name now is because as a connection to Rachel and Rosh Chodesh Kislev, the corresponding Shevet of this month of Kislev, as mentioned in the Chasidic Sefer called Bnei Yissaschar, is Binyamin who was born to his mother Rachel as she was dying on that very same day. Hence, the fact that Rosh Chodesh Kislev is the FIRST Rosh Chodesh following Rachel's passing/Binyamin's birth accentuates the above points.

Oh, by the way, Binyamin is buried right near Kfar SABA, and it is in THIS month that SABA was born (on 20 Kislev).

Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman!

Likutei Moharan Learning Beginning with Samech

As per the booklet Ner L'Tzadik compiled by Rabbi Moshe Breslover consisting of teachings of Likutei Moharan beginning with the letters of the Alef Beis; since each of the 12 months correspond to one of the letters of the Alef Beis, the following is a teaching starting with the letter Samech that corresponds with this month of Kislev.

SEGULAH - A Segulah (I don't know if there is any one word in English that can adequately translate this properly; basically, it's an action that can possibly lead to a change in one's Mazel) for lasting children (Zera Kayama), is that the husband and wife, before marital relations, say the section in the Torah beginning with "UvRashei Chadsheichem" (about the Korbanos of Rosh Chodesh - read as the 4th & last of the Aliyos for Rosh Chodesh - Bamidbar 28:11-15), which they should also say if their child is sick, G-d forbid.

The reason for this Segulah is that the word Me'oros (luminaries - refering to the sun & moon) written in the Torah regarding the 4th day of Creation (Bereishis 1:14) (NOTE: This year, the 1st day of Kislev which is Rosh Chodesh is on the 4th day of the week) - is written lacking a Vov, unlike how it is usually spelled, for this letter Vov is the vitality of all things. Similarly, we see the phrase Kalos Moshe (Moshe finished) written in the Torah pertaining to the dedication of the Mishkan (around the beginning of what we read in the Torah for the 1st day of Chanuka that occurs in this month of Kislev - Bamidbar 7:1) lacking a Vov (the word Kalos normally spelled as Kof, Lamed, Vov, Sov) (Zohar Vayechi 236a and see Zohar Pinchas 254).

All this is the secret of the blemish of the moon, for from there is the aspect of Me'oros spelled without a Vov is drawn from, which is the sickness of croup/diphtheria for children, G-d forbid.
For the Vov is the vitality of all things, and so therefore, the lack of the Vov hints to the lick of this vitality, and it is from there that the death of little children, G-d forbid, is drawn from.

On Rosh Chodesh (as it is today and tomorrow), the moon begins to fill up and be rectified, as is known, for then it reaches the ultimate purpose of the blemish and lacking, so immediately on this day, the process of rectification and being filled begins. Hence, the word Kalos as spelled without a Vov, make up the beginning letters of the phrase (found in the beginning of the special text for the Mussaf Shemoneh Esrei of Rosh Chodesh) - Kaparah Lechol Toldosohm - "An atonement for all their generations". For it is on Rosh Chodesh that the aspect of Kalos Moshe is rectified and sweetened, which is the aspect of the moon, for then it begins to fill up, and then the "atonement for all their generations" is pulled from the aspect of Kalos Moshe, for atonement, forgiveness and sweetness is pulled out for all the generations of Jews, for it is a good and long life that is pulled for them. Therefore, the section of the Torah about the Korbanos of Rosh Chodesh is a Segulah for being able to have children. (LM 1:151)

Bring Rabbi Nachman Home...

corruption and strife are still increasing...

How many court systems, and cops do you need, when it all boils down to money and power? The money we are talking about is the hard metal, the type the knife is made of, the one you have to take off the table in order to make the blessing (the knife itself is not the problem, the metal is). With gold at way over $ 1000,- an ounce what does this mean?

Gold in Arameic is the word ahava which means love in Hebrew and can only be attained through humility in the service of others- the value of Moses.
Silver in Hebrew is Cessef which is Ca-Yosef and implies purity of pure silver like the purity of the bris of Josef HA Tzaddikk.
I hear that gold has twelv times the value of silver(gemarra).
We learn from the relationships of Jacov, Ishmael, Esav and Ketoret that all of these fathered 12 offspring; in other words, gold fathers twelve silvers. The humble servant can have 12 holy sons (who hopefully will each merit to reach the level of gold during their lifetime).

Who is pure and who is humble: Saba? Rabbenu?

You cannot mix the two into some new metal! Moses needed the bones of Josef, just the way a father needs a son- don't tell me the twelve tribes were up to the level then, don't tell me they are up to the level now.

Rabbi Nachman MUST be brought home. It's simple. Anyone who cops out coput! I am must clarifying the unescapable. No one in this generation has the merit, we need to bring his bones!

This guy thinks he know how to scream Nanach.

Rebuild the Temple with Nanach!

Last week one of our Nanach friends told me a Nanach novelty on the Petek. The word "avoda" - service is mentioned three times in the Petek. This is an obvious allusion to the Temple being that the main "avoda" - service is in the temple. The third time that it is mentioned it says "bichizuk avoda tiveenayhu" - with the strengthening of avoda you will understand it - the word "tiveenayhu" has the same root as the Hebrew word to build - thus it is an explicit hint to the rebuilding of the third temple, may it be soon, amen!

Great blessings of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman!

Nanach Action in the Holy City of Jerusalem

B"H the new Nanach store in the Rova - Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem is hustling and bustling with activity. Our DIB Nanach mayfitzim myself and many customers and visitors.
In addition to our sound system, we have an electric guitar set up and we're jamming hardcore Nanach B"H.
Unfortunately we do not have the necessary equipment for recording, we desperately need a condenser microphone  (apx. $120) and maybe a few other amenities. We can not promise a plaque for the gracious donor - just a Nanach sticker.
Come join the fun!

Great blessings of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman!

na anch is paralel to the 10 spheres

According to the tikunei Zohar page 3
nun chais-chocma bina
nun chais mem-chesed gevura tiferet
nun chais mem nun- nezach hod yesod malchut
nothing to do with uman
saba once said the reason of uman in the petek is to know that the nachman we are talking is the one burried in uman

how saba can rectify through Na Nach on rosh hashana

We have to know rosh hashana is dependant on the shofar which is the acronym for the quadruple song if we don't connect to saba who is the song we will not merit to Rabbenu who is Torat chesed, numerical value of chesed is 72. the 72 strings that the quadruple song will be sung on.
the sound of the shofar waters the garden and causes a fragrance to arise from the field which inturn causes fear and love of rebbe Nachman and the true tzaddikim the true followers of Rabbenu which is saba the master of the petek.
The watering of the garden is caused by the sound of the shofar which has the same sound of the shooting arows. Rabbenu can draw the arrows back to the brain where the zera originates and thereby rectifying the true followers....

Secrets of the torah revealed through Na Nach

Rebbe Nachman is the only one today that can help us reveal the hidden torah, only through the hidden torah one can shed light on the revealed, receive awe and love for hashem and the true tzaddikim who only want the good for am yisrael and that's rectification and the ultimate connection to the next world, the world of prayer and thankfulness. Rebbe Nachman in chaye Moharan said now that they revealed to me the ultimate rectification (the ten types of song: tikkunei Zohar page 3: says this is related to the quadruple song: page 51b: says that the one who reveals the quadruple song can redeem the torah…and the congregants of Israel), everyone needs to follow only my advise and do my rectification. Not only for those today and till the coming of the messiah but also from Adam until now all need me for rectification.

How hashem helped me to reveal the reason Eliezer asked Rivkah for water and she suggested giving to the ten camels water.
The midrash says that a camel drinks enough water for a month. A camel drinks 20 gallons of water. If the bucket Rivkah had held two gallons that's one hundred buckets Rivkah had to fetch. This was all taking place right by sundown, wouldn't her parents be worried why Rivkah was coming late. The answer is that the camels came the same day and they didn't need to drink. Eliezer wanted to prove that he came the same day from Eretz Yisrael to Iraq and this was proof which caused Rivka to agree to come back with Eliezer alone.
Shavua Tov,

Na Nach helps us to understand the hidden torah" Tikkunei Zohar page 51b the one who will reveal the quadruple song can redeem the torah the prayers and the congregants of Israel
Chaye Moharan 279 worth looking up, your hairs will spike on your head.
Biur haliikutym at the end of torah 22: Rebbe Nachman is the last reincarnated soul of Moses'. The main redemption is through the revelation of the torah which comes from Shaar Nun (fiftieth gate); only through this gate can we be redeemed.
Saba told me, in the name of Rabbenu Hakadosh, that Moses' soul was reincarnated five times 1. Moses 2. Rashb"y 3. Ari Tz"l 4. Baal shem Tov 5. Rebbe Nachman Hakadosh

The letter from heaven shows Saba today is Na Nach and this caused Rabbenu to go to the higher level; the level of the seventy two strings. Saba will sing the song on the seventy two strings: the name of havayah in ascending form.

NaYod NaYodNachKay NaYodNachKayNachmaVov

Rabbenu Hakadosh is on the level havayah Beachorayim (ascending form).
Sichos Haran 95: Havaya is not God but the action of how the world was created in Ten Maamarot(prayers), ten spheres of emanation, ten Commandments ten types of song and the final complete creation where no exile will follow is the QUADRUPLE SONG. (because it's on the shaar nun fiftieth gate the complete and ultimate revelation that can heal the whole congregants of Israel)

When Saba would go to Uman, he told me we must go back right away to Israel after Rosh Hashana.
I never asked him why, but there's a discourse in Chaye Moharan that states in the end of times the only thing that will be left from Russia is a valley and a tree stump. Today in our regrettable Nuclear age we can phantom Rabbenu Hakadosh's implications.

New English edition of Seven Beggars

B"h This edition is free to reproduce and in my humble opinion is very faithful to the simple meaning and words of the originals. Also includes cool Nanach sketches, Sichot Haran 149-151 (the background of and comments on the story), and a description of Tikkun Haklali!

Prints on 7 sheets of 8.5x11 inch paper. Fold in half and staple once on the spine and you have a booklet. Who can make lots of copies? As you distribute them you take donations of tzedakah, 50 cent, a dollar, whatever; people will value and read the book more if they give something for it.

Print, print, fill the world with Rabbeinu's books!
Printing Rabbeinu Nachman's sefarim is kodesh kodeshim!

Simcha Nanach

A Woman of Valor

Nanach Developements

Yesterday at the Nanach store in the Rova we were visited by Dror (who used to live in Ebay Hanachal till about two weeks ago when he wasn't willing to endure any longer the rocks thrown at his family and other attrition), Elan (mayfitz from Meron), Yaron Elroaey (from Givat Shaul) and Mayon (regulars at the store), and Shiy (the right hand man of the Keren).

B”H we made some music.

The children of the Rova, especially the “zilbermans” have a great thirst for Nanach, and we are doing our best to teach them and illuminate for them the holy teachings and ways of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman. Needless to say their parents aren't very pleased, but there's nothing that can stop Rabbainu from bringing all of H”Y's children back to the ways of holiness.

Last night I spent some time helping Shiy who is working on getting more and more Nanach in Jerusalem, especially in the vicinity of the Western Wall.

Shiy spent a lot of time with Amram – Amram was a grandson of the Saba Rabbi Yisroel Dov Odesser and was in charge of the Keren. Originally most of the Keren's focus was on hafatza (dissemination) in Meron by Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. Shortly (maybe even a year or two or more) before his passsing Amram told Shiy that Meron was on the descent and that they should start to build hafatza by the Kosel. Shiy spent three months doing hafatza in the inner room by the Kosel. When he told Amram about what he was doing, Amram told him that he didn't mean specifically by the Wall itself but in the whole area. This was the impetus for opening the Nanach store in the Rova, and B”H for many more unbelievable amazing projects in the making B”H.

Shiy also told me that not so long ago when the government started taking over Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and there was great fighting between the government and the chasidim, the chasidim said, let them try with the Nanach. The government rallied up for a confrontation with the Nanach, they
brought 500 policemen and tractors and all. Amram and Shiy shrunk the Nanach operation “live-dead” they closed everything and brought in a bus, fully licensed, and ran the hafatza from the bus, until the bad times and edicts passed over.

During those hard times, shmuel rabinowitz, the government rabbi in charge of all the holy places, wanted to meet with Amram, he was told that Amram was sick in the hospital and it was fitting for him to go visit and speak to him there, which he did. Shiy told me that Amram was very weak. First s.r. Was speaking for some time, when he seemed to have said his piece Amram asked him if he was finished, and the proceeded to tell him his own agenda. For 15 minutes Amram told him about his grandfather how great of a tzadik he was, amazing words, Shiy told me that he himself was greatly aroused and moved, after 15 minutes of telling the praises and holiness of his grandfather, Amram said, that was my grandfather Rabbi Shmuel Horowitz OB”M, I had another grandfather (Saba Yisroel) who was lishaim shumayim, of him you won't understand anything. That was all that Amram had to say to s.r. (may s.r. Merit not to be s.r.y).

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, pray for Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Miuman, sing and dance in the streets of Yirushalayim, sing and dance Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Miuman!

400 Silver Shekel

B"H this is one of my most popular songs, especially amongst the settlers - who get really excited about Chevron.

The words are from this weeks Tora Portion where Father Abraham acquires the Double Cave - MiUras Hamachpayla - in Chevron, for 400 silver shekel.

Nanach In Singapore

B"H today I met a Jew from Singapore (there are about 1000 Jews there) and I taught him about Rabbainu and gave him some Nanach stickers to bring back to Singapore, I also encouraged him to buy the holy books of Rabbainu at the Nanach store here in Jerusalem and he took down our internet site.

Nanach opens more gates

Previously I wrote how I danced Nanach on Friday night for close to 3 hours until they let me in to the Western Wall, of course there's much more to the story, and I can't write too much but I'll add a little more. First of all I made sure to sing the same nigun the whole time. For brief periods the guard who didn't let me in would join singing Nanach and intermittently dance a little too (he was also smoking). Today I met him and he asked me to sing the nigun for him because he couldn't remember it 100% so we did a little movie. B"H he's in good hands.

Great blessings of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman!

Breslov Forbidden in Yeshiva

I heard a story from Moshe Azizio this Shabbos.

When he was younger he was studying in a Litvish Yeshiva. One time some of the yeshiva bocaharim caught him studying Likutay Etzot during Musser seder. They immediately, faithfully ran to report this to their rosh yeshiva.

When the rosh yeshiva heard this he flipped his lid and yelled out in front of the entire Bais Medrish "How dare you learn Breslov it is FORBIDDEN!!!"

When Moshe heard this, he got up packed his bags in front of the entire Bais Medrash and walked out never to return.

Moshe then went to the Saba. When he got into the room, before he had a chance to say anything, he was greeted by the Saba.

"You got out just in time, if you would have stayed there any longer they would have started to gain a hold on you"

Final struggles, number 3, easy as 1,2,3...

It took 3 days, for the three visitors to come, for finally getting THE SON. It took three patriarchs, (two dispossed "brothers"+one inheritor)=3 religions/ celebrating 3 days of the week. To fight Amalek on three "husks": Sex, Gluttony, Avarice.

Establishing a point and concluding a debate takes a third opignion, which is supposed to show the first two, that there really isn' t any conflict. In this way all three agree and the fact is established.

Three days without sex allowed us to have the Torah.
Three days without food/drink allowed us to have the Megilla.
Three Israeli Banknotes allowed us to connect Am Israel to the pureness of the Tzaddik instead of the meaningless idole called Gold(Amalekite love). for Silver is CA-Josef for it's purity and Gold is Ca-Ahava (Arameic) The love of the King which makes him more humble the the least of his subjects. When Moses didn't steal a donkey- you can imagine that he was saying that even a human donkey, never lost anything to him.

For the first time EVER we have a solution to the #1,2,3 sin: 1) I am NOT a slave to "men", 2) No Idols, 3) No using G-d for selfish pursuits. (first three commandments- relating to relationship with G-d)

Working for NIS (New Israeli Shekels) is equivalent to working for Ebay Ha Nachal and connects a person to the perfectness of Rabbi Nachman. It's like entering Noah's ark! The Tzaddik can bring his influence from it's holy root all the way back to the "harvester", just like the holy land produces holy fruit!

Since this is the way out of the third and final Husk, we need to be aware of this miracle and inform others. Bringing Rabbi Nachman to Jerusalem will certainly boost this mechanism, so please pass on this information, in your own words and with your own angle and vision.

The string of kindness has three strands, the opposit is certainly true as well. Two strands have been cut, but as long as one remains, they all seem to exist. This is not true, as soon as the third is cut, it will be clear to all that the first two have no strength at all in the world.

"Give a portion to seven, and also to eight" (Koheles 11:2)

In the story of the Petek, it was on the 7th day from Saba's depression starting on 17 Tamuz that he discovered the Petek - 23 Tamuz. Following this, he danced the whole night of 24 Tamuz - the eight day from 17 Tamuz.

In a similar vein, the decree that is signed for a person on Yom Kippur is mailed out on the 7th day of Succot - Hoshana Rabba, related to the concept of a Petek, described in more detail in Likutei Moharan 1-22. Following this, we dance on Shemini Atzeres/Simchas Torah, and though we finish reading the Torah only in the daytime, we dance also on the night of this Yom Tov, the 8th day from Succos, as the name Shemini Atzeres is supposed to indicate, though it is technically a different Yom Tov.

Similarly, Hoshana Rabba is called such, as the word Hoshana is comprised of two words - Hosha Na. Na is the Gematria of 51, as this day is the 51st day from Rosh Chodesh Elul, starting the period of Teshuva. The Arizal says that the letters of Elul begin the words "Ina L'Yado V'Samti Lecha" from the Posuk (Shemos 21:13) that mentions that one Jew who kills another Jew accidentally escapes to a city of refuge. Hence, doing Teshuva is the ultimate escape from continued sinning and punishment.

Along these lines, the Petek is an encouragement of performing Avodas Hashem, which consists of 51 words, the ultimate information on the escape from sin and punishment. Hence, Saba discovered this Petek on the 7th day from 17 Tamuz, which is comparable to Hoshana Rabba, the 7th day from Succos, and the 51st day from the beginning of Elul. Read my next blog for more details as it pertains to the number 51, and also check out my blogspot - (#51), which in addition to mentioning more about the concept of the number 51 in terms of escaping, also has more mention about the Petek.

Why 51 Words in the Petek?

Saba's Yahrzeit always falls during or around the week of Parshas Vayera. As mentioned in this Parsha, during Lot's family's escape from Sodom, the angels exhorted them to flee to the mountains. Lot's reaction was that since there were more righteous people there then he was, he was afraid that he would die not being worthy like they were. Instead, he suggested that he should escape to a city called Tzoar. Rashi explains that since Sodom had its fill of sins by the time it was 52 years old and got destroyed, and that Tzoar was only 51 years old, he felt that at least for a year, Lot would have a chance to live in this town since the residence there were hardly any better than the people of Sodom, and so he felt he would be judged to be more righteous than the rest of the clan, and hence be worthy of being saved again should another catastrophe strike.

Rashi learns this out from the words - Imolto Noh Shohmoh - "Please let me escape there". The word Noh is the Gematria of 51, and hence, Lot is saying that since Tzoar is one year younger than Sodom, he would have a chance to live there for at least a year before its sins get filled up to be slated for destruction.

Of course, Lot did not want to improve his behavior to be worthy like the righteous, even though he previously spent time with his uncle Avrohom Ovinu, from whom he did learn the trait of hospitality, but that was the extent of that in terms of his morality, but was far wanting in terms of behaving sexually, which led to his affair with his daughters, and though he knew one of his daughters slept with him overnight in his drunken state, he did nothing to prevent the same thing from happening the following night from his other daughter.

In any case, we see the concept here the concept of escaping in terms of the number 51. Even Lot believed that Hashem punishes misdeeds, and didn't just brush off the punishment of Sodom as a coincidental thing; he just wasn't motivated to move up spiritually beyond his trait of hospitality. But where Lot messed up, while in fact escaping from reality of his spiritual situation rather than to his spiritual situation, and just wanted to escape to a place for a "quick fix", is where Saba's Petek comes in. Its 51 words are what give encouragement for one to improve in their Avodas Hashem, mentioning the wording of Avodah three times! Also, as "the villager" has mentioned before, the number 51 is a multiple of the number 17 - as in the 17th of Tamuz and the Yiddishe word Biz comprised of the letters Beis, Yud, Zayin, as can also be read in Hebrew as B'Yud Zayin - on the 17th.

The Petek is the message of the ultimate escape from sins, not like L'Havdil confessing one's sins to the priest and then continuing his/her good ol' life, but making a sincere change for the better. And just like the wording of Avodah is mentioned three times in the Petek, so too, three times the word of Tov is the total Gematria of 51=17*3. Hence, making a change for the good in one's Avodah is the ultimate escape from sinning, and at times, escaping punishment for sins, if Teshuva is done from love.

For more details about Lot in relationship to what I wrote here, and mention of the Petek, check my blogspot - (#51).

The Other Side of the Year

"First there was Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi)- Ir V'Kadish Min Shemaya V'Nachis, and now there is Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman". (Rabbi Yisroel Dov Ber Odesser, ZTVK"L)

Just like exactly half a year apart, there is Pesach & Succos; so too we have Lag B'Omer, which falls out on the 18th of Iyar, the Yahrzeit of (Rashbi), and the other side of the year is the 18th of Cheshvan, the Yahrzeit of Rebbe Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman, based on Saba's words who said that he himself is Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman (which means, in his words, that he is the mouth and spirit of Rabbeinu Nachman).

As far as the connection between Pesach & Succos is concerned:

1) The Gemara learns out that just like we have a Chiyuv to eat Matza on the night of the 15th of Nissan, so too, we have a Chiyuv to eat a Kezayis/K'Beitza amount of bread in the Succah on the night of the 15th of Tishrei.

2) The Succah is reminiscent of the Clouds of Glory that Hashem protected us with started with Yetzias Mitzrayim on Pesach.

3) The first place that the Jews came to from their leave from Mitzrayim on Pesach was a place called Succos.

4) Pesach is the Gematria of Rabbeinu's name, and Rabbeinu was Niftar on the middle day of Succos.

we will be continuing our weekly Likutei Moharan group in NYC tonight, Nov. 5 at 9pm at
Earth Matters cafe, 177 Ludlow St. (between Houston and Stanton).
