Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman
Especially on this 238th year...
Another free Sefer - Another free reward
Today was 9 Cheshvan - the Yahrzeit of Rabbi Yisroel Karduner, which I had totally forgotten about. But what the big connection here is that it is Hishtapchus HaNefesh that mentions the importance of saying Tehillim both in the beginning and end of the main body of this Sefer, and in other parts in the midst of this Sefer. I guess this is one meaning of what it says in Pirkei Avos - Sechar Mitzvah Mitzvah - The reward for one Mitzvah is another Mitzvah...
Likutei Moharan Learning Beginning with Noon
NOON
NACHAMU - "Be comforted, be comforted, My nation, etc." (Yeshaya 40:1) (NOTE: These are the beginning words of the Haftara for Shabbos Nachamu). All the troubles, afflictions and exile only in effect exist by the measure of the lack of knowledge. When knowledge is complete, then all lacks of life are completed, as the aspect of (Nedarim 41): "If you have acquired knowledge, then what are you lacking?" And as it is written (Yeshaya 5): "Therefore my nation has been exiled, who are without knowledge".
The main part of eternal life in the future will be due to knowledge, for the knowledge will increase, for they will all know Hashem, and through the knowledge, they will be included in his Unity, and then they will live an eternal life like Hashem. For it is through knowledge that we are included in Hashem, as one sage put it: "If you know Him, you are Him (so to speak)". The main knowledge will be in the future, as it is written, "for the world will be filled with knowledge"
(Yeshaya 11).
Due to knowledge, no good will be lacking, and everything will be good. As our sages of blessed memory (Chazal) have put it (on the verse "Hashem will be king over the entire world, on that day Hashem will be one and His name one (Zecharia 14:9)): "Is His Name not "One" today"? (Pesachim 50a). The answer is given along the lines that in the future, everything will be good and will provide good.
Even the non-Jews will have more knowledge, but not on our level. The non-Jews will know that the greatness that they had and the lowliness that we had in the time of exile was in fact the greatness that was really ours, even though now it's impossible to understand all this, for it's hard to contradict what seems logical. Nevertheless, the knowledge will increase, and everyone will understand that the greatness of the non-Jews was really our greatness, and the lowliness was theirs. Actually, this is a great knowledge, even though this knowledge will be to us as something to laugh at according to the worth of our knowledge.
This is the meaning of (Tehillim 126:2-3): "Then our mouths will be filled with laughter, then they will say among the gentiles that Hashem acted greatly with these, Hashem acted greatly with us" - for the gentiles will know and say: "The greatness that Hashem did with us (meaning, with the non-Jews), Hashem acted greatly with these - this greatness which belonged to the Jews." Despite the non-Jews' increased knowledge; nevertheless, "Then our mouths will be filled with laughter" - meaning, that we will laugh and make fun out of their knowledge and comprehension, for our comprehension will be without end or limit. (LM 1:21-11)

"no big ones and no small ones only friends.."
If there is a machloket as to when the flood started and ended 17th of Chechvan or 17th of Yyar and vice versa.. it was to proove Saba's point.
In fact it is known also that the Tzaddikk raises the LOWEST to the HIGHEST levels.
To understand where the 17 comes from (51 words in the Petek etc..) you need to know about the Key personalities: Josef and Moses have three times "good" associated with them which means a chazaka on not having any bad;
(17 years with brothers, 17 years before meeting Pharoh, 17 years with Jacob. Tovia was the name given to Moses and Bat ya said about him that he was TOV (good) two times when she found him). The same situation occures on the day when Noah opens the window (Zohar) which happened to be Lag B Omer with 17 days left til Matan Torah and 33 days (2x17) since the begining of the count Pesach).
The Flood can only be cured with "achdout" Brotherliness which in Patriotic terms: "all men were created equal" can be re-defined as "the Tzaddik is the axis which throws the lowest to the highest level and becomes the Pillar instead".
The 17th of Tam Oz (Brazeness in good simple taste) alludes to this whole idea of brotherhood. One can now understand why "serving Torah is greater then studying it" (Ari zl and rabbi Natan).

A Great Story
An American Orthodox Jewish man named Moshe gets a letter from his son studying in Yeshiva in Israel.
"Dear Dad", it starts. "I know you will find this hard to believe, but I met some Nanachs and they have persuaded me that Rebbe Nachman is the Tzadik Haemes. So I have decided to convert to Na Nach."
"Oy Vay", shrieks Moshe. Pulling on his beard nervously, he runs to the phone and calls up his closest friend. "Asher, can you talk?" "Sure, what's going on?" Well I got bad news from my son Ya'akov in Israel." "Oh no, was he caught in a terrorist bombing?" "No no, much worse! He's become a Nanach!"
There is a long pause on the phone. Wondering if his friend has fainted, Moshe yells into the phone, "Asher, I sent my son to study in a yeshiva in Israel and he went and became a Nanach!!"
He jumps into his car and drives as fast as he can to Asher's house. Asher is fine, but looking pale. When Moshe asks if he is OK, Asher says "I want to tell you something I haven't told anyone else, not even my wife. Our Yitzie just wrote me from Israel with the exact same story!" "Yitzie who was the best student in his Yeshiva" asks Moshe incredulously. "Yeah, that's the one. I sent my son to study in a yeshiva in Israel and he went and became a Nanach!"
Both men slump down in their chairs. After what seems like an eternity, Moshe says to Asher, "I know what to do. Let's go talk to Rabbi Cohen. He's the only one who can help us. He'll know what to do!"
They both head over to the shul to speak to Rabbi Cohen. Fortunately there is no one else with him and he ushers them straight in to his office. "Yes," he says. "How may I help you!" As he says this he notices that both men look pale. Speaking more kindly, he says, "My sons, what troubles a Yid? You can share your hearts with me."
"Well rabbi" they both chime in together. "We both have received disturbing news from our sons in Israel". "Oy, what has happened?" asks the Rabbi. "Were they expelled from Yeshiva? Kidnapped by terrorists?"
"No rabbi, actually much worse than that"
"What could be worse?" asks the Rabbi patronizingly.
Moshe and Asher glance at each other, trying to decide who should confess the horrible news.
Finally after a long pause Moshe says: "Look, Rabbi, we tell you this in the strictest confidence."
The rabbi, thinking perhaps it involves a scandal, smiles reassuringly.
"We both have received letters from our sons studying in Israel that they have decided to convert to Na Nach! It's incredible: we sent our sons to study in yeshivas in Israel and they went and became Nanach!"
The rabbi, who only moments before looked so confident, suddenly seems to have been stricken by a harsh blow across his face. He turns red and then white and starts trembling violently.
Moshe and Asher look at each other, wondering if they will be asked to resign their memberships in the synagogue. Before they can speak the rabbi whispers hoarsely: "Tell no one this, but the same thing happened with my Avrumi. I sent him to study in a yeshiva in Israel and he went and became a Na Nach!"
Horrified at both the news and to see their rabbi so embarrassed, the two men rush to embrace their beloved rabbi. They put their arms around him to comfort him and say, "Well rabbi we thought you would know what to do. We did not want to cause you this much pain."
After a few moments the rabbi looks at them and says, "Let's go into the sanctuary and say some chapters of Psalms. Then we will pray to G-d for an answer."
They all file into the sanctuary and take seats near the front. They read some Psalms and recite some laments and then pray to G-d for an answer.
Before they can finish their prayer, suddenly a powerful Heavenly voice booms out:
"My sons, my sons. I know exactly the pain you are suffering. For I too sent My Son to study in a yeshivas Rebbe Mair bal Hanes in Israel, and He went and became a Nanach!"

Nanach Bris Mila B"H Tomorrow in Tsfas or by Rabbi Shimon
Tomorrow B"H is the Bris Mila of the newborn son of Nachman Dovid Kruper. Last I heard it was not certain if the Bris Mila would be at the Holy Shrine of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai or somewhere in Tsfat. Many of the Nanach went up already for Shabbos.

Yisroel Yitchok Greenberg
On Friday by the Holy Shrine of Shimon Hatzadik I spent a few hours listening to the novelty of YYG as he expounded on the secrets of the Holy Petek. YYG is 18 years old, he was born in America and lived in Milwaukee and now his family lives in Kensington – Brooklyn. YYG has a very holy soul which was greatly suffering, not knowing it's holiness, not knowing about the REAL existence of GOD and His REAL TRUE Tzadikim. Slowly he learned about the Holy Land and the study of Kabala and found himself in the Holy Land study the Kabala (by Y.M.M.). This year with obvious Divine Providence YYG made it to Uman (with a last ditch attempt a friend helped him call his grandparents, his grandmother who searches for spirituality on the internet knew that Breselovers have to go to Uman for Rosh Hashona and was thus very sympathetic to his needs) and underwent extreme tikunim throughout, but was zoche to spend many hours learning from Umos Levy. YYG says that he saw right away that the Holy Petek was awesomely holy and infused with the secrets of God, but he didn't know that it was possible to extrapolate and expound the secrets in todays age until he met Umos Levy, from whom he learned not only the possibility and the importance of revealing the secrets of the Petek, even more he learned the style of how it should be done.
YYG says that even the most orthodox children in the U.S. Aren't taught about the Reality of GOD, and he feels that it is of utmost importance that people should teach the children about the Reality of God and teach them the holy ways of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman, to do Hisbodidus – to speak to God in simplicity from one's own heart – in solitude.

hashkacha pratis for na nach
about 2 and a half months ago i came back to new york from israel and was told there was a na nach van. since i have been here i have been unable to find it. i was first told one guy had it who was impossible to get in touch with. when i finally got in touch with him i was told he did not even have it. he referred me to somebody else who he said did. when i finally got in touch with him he said he did not have it either.
this past shabbos/yom tov i spent in monsey with a friend of mine who grew up there. almost 2 years ago, before i was even religious or knew anything about na nach, i spent shabbos with a family in monsey. my brother, who had recently begun to make teshuva, brought me in hopes it would inspire me to follow that same path (which it did.) i forgot my winter jacket there and never got a chance to go get it.
for almost 2 years they had my jacket (for some of this time i was also in israel.)
so, before shabbos this past week i figured i would try calling them to see if they still had my jacket. they did and invited me over for a meal.
so shabbos morning i went over to get my jacket and whats parked across the street from their house? THE VAN!!! i went inside and they told me their son had the van.
not only that, but they wanted to know if i could get in touch with the owner of the van who is in israel, and when i said i could they were ecstatic and said for weeks they had been trying to figure out how to get in touch with him! and then i showed up with barely any notice, mainly to get my jacket, and there is the van waiting for me to get in touch with the owner to work out some issues with it.
Baruch Hashem hopefully all the issues will be straightened out and the new york na nach van will soon be back in action!

nanach in hollywood
there's a nanach in L.A who's close to some big ppl in hollywood and is mekareving em to nanach. its gonna conquer the world and is starting too...
most of them are non-jews that he's meetin and he's blowin them away with the koach of nanach. one of them is, gilles marini (from dancin with the starts), he had like a 1-200 chance of gettin in the show and after his first audition it was even worse and he met this nanach and he told him about the petek and the shir ha-geulah and to just say "nnnnm" at the next audition and u'll get in. so with emuna pshuta, he did - and he got in.
they gave him like a next to nothing chance of makin it far in the show, but to everyones surprise, he got better and better and made it all the way to the finals. in many of the weeks u can see him wearin the holy kamayah he was given - right there on national t.v. !!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ba5AxwFxYs
[watch at towards the end of the clip when he's gettin interviewed by the judges,
from like 5:08-6:00]
i was told that on his personal website/blog, giles marini talkes about the kamayah and the whole story but i couldnt find it.
this nanach also told me he met jenifer aniston (also not-jewish) and she reads supuray ma'asiot every nite before she goes to bed and it calms her down and she loves it.
Rabbeinu is conquering the world !!! na nach nachma nachman m'uman !!!
(if anyone knows anymore about these stories, please comment)

Everyone is Nanach
Only afterwords they realized that they could not escape Nanach and really named their kids "Ay Na Nach" or in Hebrew "Hey Na Nach"
Additionally they were a number of 'openly opposed to Nananch' families here in Tzfat that all had the names 'Yisroel' 'Dov' or 'Ber' as part of their children's names.
I guess you can not run away from destiny. Lucky are their children when they will grow up to be truly Na Nach.

[He also remembered what I told him that one who is busy with one Mitzva (commandment) is exempt from others, and so being that we were busy with Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman, the most important of all the Mitzvos, we were thus exempt. It's a good thing that Nanach really enjoy doing Mitzvos and are not looking for exemptions!].
We have to have complete confidence that where ever we are that is the best place that we should be, and to Nanach there at full capacity. Afterwards, and completely only in the future world, we will begin to appreciate the effects of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman!

simcha nanach beit hashoava
וביום הרבי-עי
It was on this 4th day of Sukkos in the Beis HaMikdosh that particularly 10 cows were brought as sacrifices of the 70 cows that were brought during the course of Sukkos representing the 70 nations, beginning with 13 cows on the 1st day and ending with 7 cows on the 7th day. As we know, the Shir Chadash of Rabbeinu's name - Shir Pashut Kaful Meshulosh Ribua - consists of 10 letters.
And this is on Chag HaSukkos - consisting of SEVEN days - HaSukkos being spelled as Hei, Samech, Caf, Vov, Sov which is the same Gematria as Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman (491) - the SEVENTH line of the Petek. Yes, the Chag/Holiday of Rabbeinu which is Zman Simchaseinu.
And on this year, Rabbeinu's Yahrzeit - which falls out on the same day of the week as he was Niftar - begins the 200th year from when he was Niftar. The Hebrew word for 200 is Mohsayim, the word which is the Gematria of 491 - Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman.

New Rap Song
Hashem grow me big bushy payos, be thick too
Walkn’ down the street, I be lookn’ like Mordechai the Jew
Water them in the mikvah when I dip each day
After wakn’ chatzot to beg and pray
Shave tough judgements leavn’ good ones alone
Untrimmed beard and I be lookn’ like Moshe and Rebbe Shimon
Spiritual antennas forcn’ energy in your head
Like Tefillin that move your prayers ahead
200 years in Egypt not changn’ their looks
Merited to be free and got the five books
Screamin full nights alone in the woods
Animals, werewolves, or Na Nachs in the hoods
Prutah by the Tzion, Tikkun Klali as well
Pulled by Rabbeinu with peyos out of hell
Singing Na Nach with peyos curled black
Rabbeinu got me tied up tight in his sack
Dancn’ at traffic lights my peyos swing up and down
At rythem with my kameah spreadn’ books around town
Inhabiting the world with humans, have kids grow them too
As men of the tzadik the world not be a zoo
Lying on a board with feet towards the door
Nothing to worry cuz uniform got you credit in the eternal store
