Following recuperating from dancing/Hafatza/going to Saba's Kever - now that you are back to the blog, here is a chance to see something absolutely amazing.
Just came across an interesting phenomenon in this Sefer, entitled Davar B'Ito that is printed yearly in Israel on the customs, various learning schedules, and list of happenings for every day of the year. I don't look at this every day, but for some reason, I decided to look at it this Shabbos - and this is truly Hashgacha Pratis. In this 12th cycle of Daf Yomi of 2,711 Dafim - the MIDDLE day of this Daf Yomi cycle, which is Kiddushin 39, fell out on Chai Cheshvan! But for me, this Chai Cheshvan was especially meaningful for other reasons as well, which was enhanced by the celebration that took place in Yerushalayim on Motzoei Shabbos, and going to Saba's Kever to which I was only able to come shortly before Shekiah, but I made it while it was still for sure on Chai Cheshvan. First of all, it was exactly three years ago when it also fell out on Motzoei Shabbos - and it was at this time of the week when Saba was Niftar - that I saw Saba on video for the first time which left an incredible, indelible impression on me seeing his Neshama Tehora in his smile which I did not see the same with other Tzadikim. Thus, this Chai Cheshvan was like my upsherin which takes place for a three year old. But also, as I mentioned in a previous post - on THIS Chai Cheshvan - I have lived the exact amount of days that Rabbeinu lived when he was Niftar on Chai Tishrei. So, it's not just that it was the same amount of days for me - but it fell out of all days on Chai Cheshvan - Yom Hilula of Rebbe Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman B'Yerushalayim, and three years since I had my spiritual birth - thus truly a new beginning for me - my "MIDDLE" day - looking at my past, and thinking how I will live my life in the future with a new meaning of Rabbeinu & Saba.
Anyways, this Daf Yomi phenomenon gave me an idea. There is a Breslov calendar in a little booklet form that you can pick up (if still available) in the Breslov Seforim store that is right next to the main Breslov Yeshiva on Meah Shearim Street. This lists various learning schedules of Daf Yomi, Mishna Yomis, Halacha Yomis, Mishna Berurah, etc. and also learning schedules in various Breslov Seforim. In Likutei Halachos, as in the printed form by the Keren, the "Daf Yomi" learning for Chai Cheshvan is in Chosen Mishpat, Hilchos To'ein V'Nit'an, Volume 7, Daf 38 (you can also get this in smaller printed pamphlets showing the date for the daily Daf in L.H.). While I have my own schedule for learning Likutei Halachos which I hope to finish in the next couple of years if not sooner, I browsed this Daf to see if there would anything special relating to this day or to myself. Absolutely amazing - of all the Amoraim - the Talmudic Sages - mentioned - is none other Rav Nachman! In this particular context, the Gemoro talks about making someone swear if he partially admits to money that he owes, but someone who completely denies owing money that is claimed against him does not swear. However, Rav Nachman says that even someone who completely denies the claim also swears. In short, the Likutei Halachos explains that making someone swear is the Tzadik revealing the Hispa'arus, the "beauty" of a Jew. Someone who at least admits to part of a claim has hope of saying the truth if he indeed owes more money, but one who completely denies either is already telling the truth or has such Chutzpa of completely denying it that swearing won't help. However, Rav Nachman does not give up hope even on this type of guy- as long as he is a Jew, he is not considered to be in "complete denial". There is more said on this in Likutei Halachos, but this is one of the key points brought on this.
In terms of Gematria, Rav Nachman adds up to 350, the number for this in Hebrew is Shin Noon. These letters, when spelled out, is the Gematria of 466. Guess what - Likutei Moharan - when the word Likutei has two Yuds - is also the Gematria of 466! It's no wonder - it's the Gematria of Shimon, and the Torah in Likutei Moharan that comes right before the official start of Ashrei Temimei Derech is about Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. Being that this is my first name (the only name I was given at my Bris - I recently added Matisyahu as a second Hebrew name but this not the context to go into details), I feel that Rabbeinu, Rebbe Nosson & Saba are sending me a message - I have not been forgotten. I have a mission, and blogging on this site is definitely a mission that I know is meant for me to do - other people may have different missions such as doing outreach Hafatza in the streets. It was one month ago when I started blogging on Chai Tishrei - Rabbeinu's Yom Hilula, and perhaps my best foot forward was my blog "770 in Breslov" which attracted quite a few comments defining Breslov's uniqueness and place in comparison/contrast to other Chasidic philosophies.
In line of learning schudules in Breslov Seforim - I have one more Gematria to add for the evening. Many Breslov Chasidim learn an Amud of Likutei Moharan every day (there are other schedules that reflect a yearly cycle). There are a total of 331 Amudim. That's interesting, because 331 is the Gematria of the words Rabbeinu & Saba!
P.S. For the curious, the scheduled daily Amud in Likutei Moharan for Chai Cheshvan is in L.M. Kama, Page 98 - Amud Bais.
