Good Thoughts

Rabbainu says that even when one is with his wife he should be thinking in Tora. One therefore certainly can not be thinking about being with his wife when he is not with her!

There are always higher levels people should strive for in Shmiras Habris.

The main thing is to be Naki Ktinok and reach a level where there is no need for the Tikun Klali, just as the Saba did.

Saba left behind children and treated his wife with respect

That is not a contradiction at all, Rebbe Nachman said that he completely nullified all his desires by the time he was 20. Yet he had children and surely respected his wife.

He also said that when Tzadikim do Zivug it hurts them more then an act of circumcision would.

The main thing is to completely conquer Tavas Hamishgal, this does not mean that you can not have children or respect your wife.

i think that the same way the narrow bridge is a bridge between sane and insane there is a narrow bridge for everything and i think that the narrow bridge in marriage is balancing having fun in this world and this life and still being holy and i think it is very possible to do both and if more people can find that narrow bridge balance mroe marriages will last
